The Chess books that have all the openings and a detailed explanation of each one are called the Encyclopedias of the Chess Openings, or ECO. There are five volumes and each book is over 500 pages. That's how long the last three Harry Potter books are! If you're willing to pay a lot of money to own the ECO because you want to learn all 1,329 openings and variations, then I bet you'll soon be at a Elo ranking over 2000.
