Most metals are solid at room temperature (20-30C)as room temperature is not enough to provide them required kinetic energy to overcome their forces of attraction or convert its state.thus,they remain solid at room temperature.

Metals are solids at room temperature:

One reason could be that the metallic bond between kernels and Valence electrons is enough strong to break it...... exception is Mercury as it is liquid at room temperature indicating that it's metallic bond is not much stronger ....

Other reason could be that this temperature is not sufficient to overcome their electro static force of attraction .....

Most elements are classified as metals and with the exception of mercury all of these are solids at room temperature

The only metal that is NOT Solid at room temperature is Mercury (Hg) … all others are solid.
