Elvis Presley recorded only a handful of tracks while he was in the Army. During one two-week leave, he went to Nashville and cut five songs. Most of the recordings that came out during Elvis' Army years were previously unreleased material which RCA Records had stockpiled in anticipation of Presley's absence. Between his induction and discharge, Presley had ten top 40 hits, including "Wear My Ring Around Your Neck", the best-selling "Hard Headed Woman", and "One Night" in 1958, and "(Now and Then There's) A Fool Such as I" and the number one "A Big Hunk o' Love" in 1959.

I assume you mean what brand of guitar (?). I've looked at a bunch of picture of her from the late 60s - early 70s, and she seemed to play a Martin acoustic pretty consistently. Not surprising, considering she had plenty of money by that point, and Martins are generally considered among the best acoustic guitars. Interestingly, there is a much later concert of hers (in the 90s?) where she is playing a Parker Fly guitar with a midi synthesizer interface. Pretty technologically hip for a hippy chick from the 60s. Cheers.
