parabolic mirror is used in search light
concave
Parabolic
A convex mirror is used for:- A spotlight..... the light in right in the middle and the convex mirror is behind it so the light that shines back ward's hits the mirror and reflect's back and bends into a focal point. A concave mirror is used for:- Dentist mirror.... to magnify a potion's teeth. They are also used in car light's but is very hard to explain. The first answer above relates to a concave mirror.
No, there is no light on the mirror.
It is a property of a parabolic mirror that rays from from one of the foci of the parabola, travelling in any direction within the parabola will get reflected along the major axis. This means that these rays will travel as parallel rays. This will give a concentrated light source rather than one that is spread out across a broad area.
The concave shape focuses the light into a narrow beam. If the mirror was convex, the light would be spread out - useless for searching into any distance.

Because it is like a mirror and it can be used to reflect light
You adjust the mirror to get more light onto the specimen. If your microscope has a mirror, it is used to reflect light from an external light source up through the bottom of the stage.
reflection is used when you look in the mirror (light), when light takes the specific path from reflectingof of your face , to the mirror in front of you and back to you eye, that is how you see yourself.

bcause when light source placed at focus of the mirror, after flashing the light form the source to the mirror after reflection a straight parallel beam of light emerges which makes the street bright
I dont know how about you
No, there is no light on the mirror.
A compound microscope can either have a light bulb or a mirror for illumination. If your microscope has a mirror, then you need sunlight or some other light source to point at the mirror to view your slide. The mirror is used to focus light up through the hole in the microscope's stage, or slide platform. The slides will contain a thin slice of material through which the light can shine, to reveal the internal structure of the sample.
