Neutralisation reactions between acids and alkalis would be one.

Simply put that is:

An acid + base reaction to form salt + water

(metal oxide + acid → a salt + water

metal hydroxide + acid → a salt + water)

For instance:

HCl + NaOH --> NaCl + H2O

However, some are endothermic (Baking soda + Vinegar for instance)

Also, stuff blowing up tends to be indicative of an exothermic reaction going on. Just sayin'

It is an exothermic process, but it not a chemical reaction

A reaction that releases energy in the form of heat?

It is called an exothermic reaction. Example: a burning candle

Are bubble forming in a soda an example of exothermic reaction?

No, the formation of bubbles in a soda is not an example of an exothermic reaction. It is actually a result of a physical process called carbonation, where carbon dioxide gas is dissolved in the liquid under pressure.

Energy is released when?

For example in an exothermic chemical reaction.

Is exothermic reaction an example of photosynthesis?

An exothermic reaction is a reaction where heat or light energy is released. An example of this type of reaction is burning a candle.

Is a hand warmer pack an endothermic reaction?

Exothermic. It release heat in the process.

What kind of chemical reaction is an exothermic reaction?

Exothermic reaction: reaction with release of heat; for example burning of organic materials (oxydation of carbon) is a typical exothermic reaction.

Is lightning a match of an exothermic or endothermic reaction?

It is exothermic, since it evolves heat. ^^ according to my Chemistry teacher, it's exothermic and endothermic.

Is the reaction of magnesium sulfate and water exothermic or endothermic?

It is not a chemical reaction, it is dissolution; this physical process is exothermic.

Is paint drying exothermic?

As paint dries through the process of oxidation the reaction produces heat, which is an exothermic reaction.

Is fireworks an example of exothermic change?

It's a exothermic reaction because heat and light is being released.

What is the name given to reactions which take in heat?

An endothermal (or endothermic) process is the name of the process in which heat is taken in. In an exothermal (or exothermic) process, heat is released.
