I'm glad you asked! Cinematic language is the unofficial term given by most and major filmmakers and cohorts. It is a term used to describe language that would have an esoteric (only understood by those involved) value. So, terms such as 'CUT TO' are deemed as components of cinematic language. Broad cinematic language, then, is simply the more intricate terms used by filmmakers and their accomplices such as 'MONTAGE' or 'SERIES OF SHOTS'. Hope that helps!
