I will have to say the digestive system break down the most food because it contains enzymes which breaks down substrates and speed up chemical reactions and allows it to flow through your blood stream, amalyst, catalyst, enzyme pepsin, and others.
The stomach
There are two different kinds of digestion: chemical and mechanical. Mechanical digestion is the physical breakdown of food and is done primarily in the mouth and in the stomach. Chemical digestion is the actual absorption of the nutrients coming from food into the body. This is done primarily in the small intestine.
In Small intestine about 90 % of the food is digested ,rest in stomach(mainly protein) and mouth(carbohydrates).
Most of the digestive process takes place in the stomach. This is were food is broken down into smaller parts by the stomach acids before passing through the rest of the digestive system.

The Liver.
Food is broken down or digested in the stomach but the nutrients are not absorbed in the stomach. Nutrients from digested food are primarily absorbed in the small intestine.
If this is for a Basic Nutrition chapter assignment, the choices are as follows: a. vitamins b. minerals c. water d. carbohydrates The answer that you are looking for is carbohydrates. Proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates must be digested before they are absorbed.
The intestine.
It is absorbed into the blood through the vili in the small intestine.
Small intestines is the organ where most of the digestion takes place.
Digestion is a process that begins as soon as the food enters your mouth. The food is not stored anywhere; it moves continually through the digestive system, being digested. There are no pauses.
Nutrients are absorbed throughout the digestive process. Specific nutrients are absorbed in the stomach and large intestines, but the majority of nutrients are absorbed in the small intestines.
They are not Organs enzymes in your saliva and stomach help break down foods so the can easily be digested
The organ where nutrients are absorbed is Small intestine
