The part of the country favored slaves was the northern states, because they had alot of factories there and they thought slavery was wrong. They thought that it was mean and cruel for them to have them as slaves, so the South and the North divided. Slaves started to see this secret passage way called The Underground Railroad. They headed straight for their freedom!
