There are two kinds: green tomato called "tomate verde" and red tomato called "jitomate".

nope!.. its physical change.. because its still a tomato...^^
Yes, only when it is ripe otherwise it is green
Well ask yourself- are you round, red, squishy, and have a green step out the top of you?
An unripe tomato is green, and becomes yellow and then red as it ripens. (Though I believe that there are certain specially breed varieties that produce fruit in other colours, including green, yellow, orange, pink, black, brown, ivory, white, and purple.)
The red parts of it, basically all of the tomato except the green leafy areas.
Red. I guess that's why his nickname is the flying red tomato. :D
In plants there are structure called pigments that determine their color. so the food produced by plants that is not green has non green pigments expressed. for example, the color of tomato is red since red pigments are expressed.
you can get white/cream, wholemeal which is brown, green which i think is spinach and red that i think is tomato hope this helped
Did you know they actually pay people a lot of money to create names for colors? Tomato red could be any shade of red, as are the tomatoes, depending on the variety of tomato. But I consider tomato red to have a hint of orange.
