Am guessing your having problems with the monitor...

First check if the monitor's (the screen) has any wires that are damaged, try the monitor on a different computer if the monitor works in a different computer than it could be the video card that is giving you a hard time.

make sure all cables are plugged in correctly and check the video card to see if its damaged or is it properly adjusted in the motherboard, and also check the BIOS settings to make sure the video card is selected.

Which device is causing a video problem -the monitor or the video card-which one should you exchange first?

If you can troubleshoot the problem without opening your computer, that is best. So, connect a known working monitor to see if it works. If not, I guess you have to suspect the video card. :)

Why does the monitor did not open where is the problem?

If it has been working normally before this--no black border--then the monitor may have become unplugged from the computer. Shut down the computer. Unplug and then replug in all of the connecting wires, make sure the On button on the monitor is on. Image should be there when you turn the computer back on. If this doesn't work, try hooking the monitor up to another computer. If you have the same issue, the problem is the monitor. If not, the first computer is the problem.

How do you repair an LCD monitor that blinks?

First use external monitor to see if you have the same problem. If the external monitor works well, it is definitely an LCD display problem. Blinking can be caused either by problem with a light bulb (it is located inside screen), inverter, or video ribbon cable. You may try first to re-set the video connector. But in any case you need to open your notebook first. If re-setting video connector does not help, the solution is to replace the screen and inverter (normally, LCD screen and inverter sell together). You may use some online illustrated guide to learn how to do this. Good luck!

Why does notebook screen change colors to mostly green?

Could be bad LCD screen, defective video cable or bad motherboard. First, test the laptop with external monitor. If video on the external monitor is normal but it's bad on the laptop LCD, the problem is somewhere inside the laptop display panel (bad LCD, bad video cable, bad connection between cable/motherboard/LCD). If video on the external monitor is bad too, you have either software related problem or something is wrong with the motherboard. Try reinstalling Windows first, it might help.

What has happened to the PS3 when its on but there is no picture?

Unless you've got a Yellow light (blinking), the usual problem is either your video output setting or your video cables themselves, which can work themselves loose over time. If the internal graphics card isn't working, you'll get a Yellow light and it won't start. First check the cables and make sure they're tight. If they're going through a switchbox, make sure the switch is on to allow the signal to go through. Don't forget about your TV or monitor either; if you need to be on a certain channel or input, make sure it's selected. If the cables check, try another TV or monitor. If you've switched from an older TV to an HDMI capable monitor without first changing the video output on the PS3 to HDMI, you'll need to reconnect it to the old monitor and make the change before connecting it to the new monitor.
