While a tumor may be large, soft and fleshy it's not an indication that it may be cancerous. A lipoma may appear much the same way but regardless, this is something that must be evaluated by a physician. The physician will probably order some diagnostic testing to be performed, most likely but not limited to an ultrasound. The physician may also order a biopsy of the growth at the same time so that pathology lab examination may be performed to determine what the cause is and if it is a cancer, what kind and whether it is benign or malignant.
