Goguryeo was a ancient kingdom. This was shortened toGoryeo and this eventually became the word Korea. After World War II, the Soviets occupied the North and the US occupied the South.
North Korea is communist from the Soviet Union, South Korea is anti-communist, it breaks my heart when I say it.:( Also, they are being occupied by different troops.
they saw the opportunity and took it
In the north, Russia. In the south, the USA.
The Soviet Union occupied the North and the United States had the South. North Korea became a communist nation. And South Korea became a democratic nation. In 1950, North Korean troops invaded South Korea. The United Nations sent troops from the United States to help defend South Korea. Chinese troops joined North Korea.
South Korea would have been occupied by North Korea and communism.
As I have heard.. When korea was occupied by Japan and were suffering and Japan attacked the USA, the USA dropped a BOMB in Japan- weakening the Japanese forces in Korea. Then the USA separated Korea into 2 nations- North and South, as in the North it was filled with communism parties and families and the South was filled with democracy. by Akwon98
