No. Wayne Gretzky played his minor hockey in Brantford, which is part of what is now known as Alliance Hockey. Gretzky's family moved to Toronto, and Wayne played for the Toronto Nationals, but the team was a Jr. B organization at the time, not a GTHL organization which it is now. The Jr. B league Gretzky played in is most comparable to the OJHL.
In 1996 he played briefly for the St. Louis Blues (and was made team captain).
