The seven half bloods are 7 in the next Rick Riordan books are not Percy or Annabeth or Thalia, they're gonna be camp counselors, there's gonna be a new series of demigods book, related to Percy Jackson and the Olympians, it takes place about 2-5 years after The Last Olympian, as we all know is Hestia, and those 7 half-bloods are gonna have a more exiting prophecy than The Great Prophecy. This book is not yet known when exactly is coming out but Riordan says in a few months from 2010.
In The Lost Hero, it states that Jason, Leo and Piper would be three of the seven. The first book is entitled 'The Lost Hero' and the lost hero is Jason because he is missing from the Roman Camp, and the second book is entitled 'The Son of Neptune' which is probably Percy because at the Roman Camp they will call him the son of Neptune, Poseidon's Roman form. This also makes Percy most likely another one of the seven. In 'The Lost Hero', Chiron said that the seven half-bloods will be a mixture of Greek and Roman demigods, so the other three will probably be from the Roman Camp, because it is traditional that there are only three Greek demigods on a quest. However, Annabeth said she would go to the Roman Camp with Jason, so there is a possibility that she may be one of the seven. It's going to be interesting to see how the Greek and Roman half-bloods mix with each other.
Please change this answer if the answer to this question comes out in one of the books, because I will forget about this question a few weeks later and not bother to change it. Thanks.

Yes, the demigods, half mortal, half immortal. Hercules (or Heracles) was one, and so was Perseus.
Demigods get old and do eventually die. They are half mortal but are immortal giving them powers of the unordinary (summoning the dead, growing mutant plants, making giant war-chairots, etc.)
It depends on what you believe. No evidence proves that Half-Bloods exist.
Something about how most halfbloods die before their 16 birthday
some of them were like just created but then again some of them are heros(not the halfbloods off of Percy Jackson and the Olympians) but like Jason they become gods for there sort of victory prize.
