America's Got Talent is a British owned American reality televison serios on the NBC television network.

The current incarnation was created by Simon Cowell and was originally due to be a 2005 British series called Paul O'Grady's. It was later postponed due to a split in broadcast and the American America's Got Talent was created.

Even though Simon Cowell did create the show, he did not appear as a judge because of the conditions to his American Idol contract. He does appear as a judge on Britain's Got Talent.
