Modern Warfare 3 (the eighth installment of the Call of Duty series, and the third in the Modern Warfare series) is an FPS shooter currently in development mainly from Infinity Ward, with assisted development and finishing touches from Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software (who will assist in the multiplayer aspect). It is scheduled to be released on the 8th of November 2011 worldwide.

∙ 12y agoInfinity Ward, the sub division in Activision created Call Of Duty. Treyarch joined in and created COD3. IW made 1,2,4,mw2,mw3. Treyarch made 3,WAW, and Black Ops. Hope this helped.
