Cheetahs live by using their speed to catch animals like gazelles and impalas, and small animals. Cheetahs live by themselves, or with their cubs. Although Cheetah brothers have been known to stay together for life.
Female cheetahs live alone and raise cubs as solitary nomads roaming about a great distance in search of prey. They are shy and diurnal.

Males live is small coalition, usually brothers and mark out a territory. They spend their days looking for girls to mate with, hunting, grooming and defending their territory. As females they are also active during the day and prefer to stay out of sight of any predators, often including humans.
