The song has been recorded many times and I think one of the best is the Ronettes with full-throttle Spector harmony- all four cylinders open wide- she"s pulling down the main! (main line) yes, that Veronica so grab your Vodka and stay awares, cause Stacy R "s coming tonight ! whatt, that"s not Veronica, but I like the Ronettes" version of the song, very up beat- like 80 Miles plus.

The popular idea is the song was first recorded by Gene Autry the singing Cowboy. The song is upbeat and catchy, why not a parody- Here comes Stacy R, hey, her Old Man is considered a Saint, and is named Nick, right?
