She took Chas Chandler, the former bass guitarist of The Animals to see him, and Chandler arranged for Hendrix to fly to London with him. Chandler had recently left The Animals and was looking for an act to manage. Chandler had huge connections in the music in the UK, and the former manager of The Animals, Mike Jeffrey, looked after the financial side of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
