Bette Graham's influence was originally her own typing errors. She created the original tempera based 'correction fluid' , used it for 5 years, and later perfected it with the help of her son's chemistry teacher. She eventually marketed this product as 'Mistake Out' in 1956. The name was later changed to 'Liquid Paper'
