AnswerGalvin Manufacturing Corporation founders Paul Galvin and Joseph came up with the idea of putting radios in automobiles in the the 1930s. In 1928 they began selling Battery Eliminators which allowed battery powered radios to use a regular electrical outlet. The idea for a radio in an automobile came later, their first model called a "Motorola". They later changed their company to the same name.
