Hand operated devices like the abacus, and even checkered table cloths, have been used for performing computer functions for thousands of years, but the first recognized mechanical computer was built in 1623 by German scientist Wilhelm Schikard. His machine was the first capable of performing basic arithmetic functions.
American physicist John Atanasoff built the first electronic computer in the late 1930s and early 1940s, although his invention was relatively unknown and most credit for the first computer went to the people who built ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) for the United States military in the 1940's.
computer is firstly invented by charles babbage...........
Ever since the first computer, advances in technology made it possible to maker smaller and smaller computers. The 50's reduced the size of computers drasticly with the invention of the transistor, which replaced the old glass vaccum valves. Jack Kirby, development engineer for Texas instruments is credited with the first microchip, the critical technology for microcomputers, The first one was made in 1958.
Hewlett Packard introduced the first handheld scientific calculator in 1972 and that became the first ever handheld computer to be invented.
During WW2, but the first was not built until 1948.
No I don't think that there were computers in the 1940's TV's just started in the 50's if there were computers (which I highly doubt) thaey wouldn't be anything like today's computers. A little bit of searching will show that there were primitive computers. They were mostly mechanical analog computers rather than electronic digital devices like we have today. They were mostly used for computing bomb and rocket trajectories. Some very early electronic computers were built in England and the U.S. to help decode encrypted Axis messages.
Who invented the first wheel? I honestly dont know, but it was one of the greatest invention ever!
the 20th century. there first one ever was invented during 1943, computers are new tech.
Computers were invented in the early to mid 1940s.
The first ever chainsaw to be invented was in 1969
No, because humans invented computers so computers cannot be smarter than humans.
Bob the builder invented the computers when santas reindeers nose first turned red.
no, Babbage invented the first in the 1830s but did not succeed in building it.
It depends on what kind of computer.
Microsoft does not make computers.
Charles Babbage invented the first computer.
know one a robot did
No, computers were not invented before cell phones. The first cell phone was invented in the year of 1973 by a man named Martin Cooper in Manhattan. The first computer was invented in 1939 by German engineer Konrad Zuse.
The first electromechanical computers were invented in Germany. Konrad Zuse first built computers in his parents' apartment. Zuse worked alongside the Nazi's and received some funding for his work from them.
