Who is Percy Jackson?
Perseus "Percy" Jackson is the protagonist of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. He is considered a "half-blood" or a "demigod" because he is his mother is mortal and his father is the Greek god Poseidon. Because his father is Poseidon, god of the ocean and horses, he has several superhuman abilities. For instance, he can control water and speak to horses.
During his adventure throughout the Percy Jackson books, he travels with several of his friends, like Annabeth Chase, Grover Underwood, Nico and Bianca di Angelo, and others.
In the first book, The Lightning Thief, Percy is 12 years old. Throughout the series, he goes on quests with friends and some never return with him. Each book has its own thing that makes it exciting and full of action. By the end of the series, Percy is faced with the hardest decision of life. A child of the big three, ( Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades) will turn 16 and fulfill the prophecy which will either help the gods or destroy them.
