Well, I'm assuming you mean Stalin, minus the e. Joesph Stalin was the much- feared ruler of Russia during WWII. He was one of the greatest leaders ever to walk on the face of the earth and brought great power to the Soviet Union using excellent military force and power. Some may argue he killed many, but it was for the sake of the motherland's survival.

Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili, or more commonly known as Joseph Stalin, is best recognised for his role as leader of the Communist party of Russia in the early 20th century. Stalin is the Russian word for 'steel'. Stalin began his life in a poor village in the south of Russia, in Georgia. He was originaly going to become a priest, but rejected the idea. After becoming involved in anti-Tzarist movements, he was sent to a prison camp in Siberia for 3 years, as most political enemies were. Stalin began his crawl to power as a through the Socialist party of Russia. He was also involved in a lowly position in the newspaper 'Pravda' which spread the word about socialist ideals and meetings. Stalin rose through the ranks of the party through the revolution and was only stopped when Lenin became leader. When Lenin died, Trotsky was toted to become leader, however Stalin deceived Trotsky and caused him to be ousted from the party. In Lenin will, he made it quite clear that he did not want Stalin as leader as he felt Stalin was not in t for the greater good of the nation but rather for his own power. Stalin jhad lenin's will hidden and not to be read by any party member. Stalin then went on over the years creating his own country dedicated to Socialism and his rule. Stalin can be most notably famed for his 'Show Trails', in which he falsly accused members of the socialist party of wrong doing and saw that they were executed. This meant that Stalin could employ socialist true to him and not be worried by unsettled and devious members who wanted to oust him. Stalin died on the 5th March 1953.
