Ted Burris started out in high school with a rock band known at the time as "Anvil". After playing many HS gigs and sock hops they changed their name to "Boa" and relased and album called "Wrong Road". The album was recorded in a tupperware wearhouse on a 2 track stereo reel to reel tape recorder. If anyone in the band made a mistake , they had to start the song all over again. The album never made it, however the people who collect home record labels found it highly collectable. Only 200 of the albums were ever made causing the price of the original album to be worth $350.00 if in good condition. A record company in 1995 released it as a CD with the permision of Ted Burris and Bob Maledon the records original producers. The record is still available at Gearfab Records and at many CD stores all over the web. The original members of Boa were; Ted Burris, Vocals and Bass, Bob Maledon, Keyboards and bass. Paul Manning (credited as "Captain Hook") Lead guitar. Brian Walton, keyboards. Richard Allen, Drums. Ted Burris has gone on to learn many insturments including Lead and rythum guitar, Bass, Drums and keyboards, some harmonica and mandolin. He has also recorded and produced 5 different albums including rock, Blues, and comedy country comedy. He has also played bass for several oldies stars including; Little Eva (locomotion) Johnny Preston (running bear) the Tokens (lion sleeps tonight) Dicky Lee (patches) and the Chiffons (one fine day) to name a few.
