  • Iman.
  • There is no central leader of Islam, and there are many sects. Therefore, the teachings of Islam can be varied and inconsistent depending on how an imam wants to interpret their primary books of the Koran and Hadith.

There is no head in Islam. Each Prophet (May peace be upon him) preached Islam. In his time Hazrat Abraham (AS) may be called the head, on his time Hazrat Moses (AS) was the head, In his time Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) may be considered the head. The last Prophet of Islam was Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be upon him). He was born in Arabia in 570 AD and started preaching Islam in 610 AD.

After Mohammed's death, the Caliph continued as the leader of the religion and remained as the head of Sunni Islam until 1936. (Caliph is a religious position, meaning Successor to the Prophet.)
