The body of Christ are all the believers who have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. As the body of Christ we are to be His hands and feet and do His will. We are to spread the good news as He did and live life so that others can see Him in all we do.
There are several reasons why the "body of Christ" is an apt analogy for the church.
First, Christ is its head (Ephesians 1:22). A body does what the head (mind) instructs it to do. (When a physical body fails to respond to instructions from the brain, we say it suffers from a neurological disorder. When the "church" fails to respond to Christ as its head, it suffers from a spiritual disorder! That's why its so important for people to know God's word for themselves - there are "churches" that forsake obedience to the Word and teach gross error to their members.)
Second, as Christ is no longer in the world in person, it is up to His body to carry out His redemptive work (Mark 16:15).
Third, just as the physical body is made up of different parts, so is the church made up of people of differing backgrounds, talents and abilities. They are all unique, yet all part of one whole "body," working together for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:20-22).
The body of Christ is made up of born again believers on Jesus Christ. When a person accepts Jesus as their personal Savior they are added to the body. This body is also known as the church (assembly of true believers in the church age) and known also as the bride of Christ.
Paul metaphorically describes the church as Christ's body. The church is the mystical body of Christ, made up of all believers of all time. It is the entity through which Christ manifests His life and in which His spirit dwells
e.g., Eph_1:23; Col_1:18, Col_1:22, Col_1:24; also of a local church, 1Co_12:27.
Loli dontknowThe Apostle Paul described the church as the Body of Christ. Christ being the Head. There are many Scriptures pertaining to this fact. Colossians 1:18, "And He (Christ) is the head of the body, the church........"
Paul said we are the body of Christ.
I think that the person is asking you if you know that you are really taking the body of Christ and when you say amen it means yes.New Answer:"The body of Christ "is a reference to the first communion Jesus took with His disciples as the took the bread meant for the Messiah, broke it and said, "This is my body, which has been broken for you. Do this often and in remembrance of me.""Amen" is a Hebrew word meaning, "let it be," "so be it," or "verily."

The true church is called the "body of Christ". Christ is the Head and the church is the body.
The Body of the Dead Christ in the Tomb was created in 1522.
Corpus Christi is a Latin term meaning "Body of Christ." In Christianity, it refers to the Eucharist, where bread and wine are believed to transform into the body and blood of Jesus Christ during the Catholic Mass. The feast of Corpus Christi is celebrated to honor this belief.
I am not sure who is calling Jesus the "body of Christ", but no, Jesus is not the body of Christ. Believers in Jesus around the world are the body of Christ (Romans 12:5, "...so we (believers), being many, are one body in Christ." Also see I Corinthians 12:14-20; Ephesians 1:22-23.
The Body of Christ is always in motion, the body are the believers in Christ and the will never stop moving. So the question is a moot point.
