look back in anger doesn't have a hero like other novels . it has a heroine rather, Allison. she is the one who actually survives with her truth till the end of the play. She brings change in jimmy towards the end and also illumines him with a dawn of realization. She not only suffers the atrocities of jimmy due to his unjustified anger , bears the loss of her child , infidelity of her husband and best friend Helena then also she returns with victory because jimmy could not burn her with his anger and she returns home in calmness and peace thus changing jimmy for the better.
