There are some ancient civilizations that were completely lost for centuries and then discovered by accident or with careful research and archeology. ancient Egypt is not one of them; ancient Egypt was never completely lost. There were times when most of its history was buried under the sands, but there was never a time when someone in modern times came upon ancient Egypt as if for the very first time.
