Which Odyssey do you have in mind? Homer, the ancient Greek poet rumored to be blind, was the narrator of the Homeric Odyssey. There have been several announcers on the radio drama Adventures In Odyssey ( no need for the definite article) It"s the name of a fictional Midwestern town. Also to add more confusion to the storm, the Lassie program used to have multi-part stretched out dramas-usually dealing with the Dog getting lost and throwing the Lachromotor overdrive into gear, and these were called the Lassie Odyssies. Th word is not usually used as a plural but I guess it would be Odyssies.

The story of "The Odyssey" by Homer is narrated by the poet Homer himself. Homer is believed to be the author of both "The Odyssey" and its predecessor "The Iliad," which are two of the most famous epic poems in Western literature.

Homer. Theory states: It was originally an epic Poem, altough never written down. Always spoken by Homer. (Originally in Greece) Robert Fitsgerald's translation of the Odyssey, is still by Homer(Narrated) it's just the translater.

A storyteller, presumably not Homer, since it isn't necessary for the author and the speaker to be the same person.
