I'm not sure of all the things he did, but I do know one thing he did and it has a bit of a funny story to go with it.
He used to write articles for the Autocar magazine and apparently he hated his job, so in 1992 he put in a subliminal message in the end of year book. Every car review started with a Large red letter in bold, and so what he did was start each review with a certain letter so that it would make a sentence.
It read out "So you think its really good yeah, you should try making the bloody thing up its a real pain in the arse"
...He was fired the very next day...
