There are MANY, MANY, MANY stories in the Bible; the Bible itself is the story of mankind! In fact, just of Jesus alone, on of the Gospels had commented that if ALL the miracles that Jesus had done were recorded, the books would fill the entire world!
The Christian Scriptures, or 'new testament', also the Gospels. It's worth noting that the authors of these texts never knew Jesus and were not eyewitnesses to anything he did nor said. The Christian scriptures were written and compiled decades after the Romans had killed Jesus. It is worth noting that gospels that were more closely related to the actual teachings of Yeshua (Jesus) were destroyed by the Roman Church in order to protect their version of the story. Read about the Nag Hammadi texts and their history. The best evidence of the tampering with Truth done by the Roman Church is internal. Christians teach that one must read the Bible and pray for God's instruction. I learned a lot from doing just that and studying the link below comparing FIVE gospels about the teachings and life of Yeshua (Jesus).
