One perspective:Obviously the disciples, with the exception of Judas Iscariot, were blameless for the crucifixion. Scriptural Christian Perspective:A brief treatment - according to scripture, "The wages of sin is death" and "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." By those two excerpts, everyone human who has ever lived and ever will live is equally responsible for the death of Jesus Christ. Secular Perspective:No one who was not immediately associated with Christ, the Jewish Temple community in Jerusalem when Christ was accused, or the Roman government in the region was responsible for Christs death. Objectively looking at it, only Peter stood up to prevent the soldiers from taking Christ away, but he disavowed (denied) Christ later three times. None of the disciples stood up to offer defense of Christ to the Pharisees or Sadducees, as was their right as Jews. The crowd before Pontius Pilate demanded the release of the rebel Barrabas rather than the innocent Christ. Finally, the Roman government crucified him. As a post script, even Christ himself was responsible for his own execution, as being the son of God, he had the full power of God at his disposal, yet permitted lesser beings to end his Earthly life.

Must have been a reason for that.
