Sir Isaac newton is featured in the first Apple logo from 1976. The logo shows Newton sitting under an apple tree, and was only used for the Apple I computer. It was almost immediately replaced with a rainbow colored apple with a bite taken out of it.

The apple logo was first started with the enigma code. How did the mackintosh apple computer get its name?

Steve Jobs had worked during the summer at an apple farm, and admired the Beatles' record label, Apple. He also believed Apples to be the most perfect fruit. He and Steve Wozniak were trying to figure out a name for their new company, and they decided that if they couldn't think of one by the end of the day that was better than Apple, they would choose Apple. They couldn't think of anything better, so on April 1, 1976, Apple Computer, Inc. was born. But they needed a logo. The first design included Sir Isaac Newton, a tree and a banner that said "Apple Computer." Jobs decided they needed a less busy logo, one that would signify a brand. The second logo attempt was very similar to the current logo, but without the bite taken out of it. Jobs thought this logo looked too much like an orange. The third attempt was the logo that Apple still uses.I got this info from the www.apple-history.nl website, many more apple facts on there tooQuite right he did like the Beatles, but the Beatles had the brand name first, and Jobs had to pay the The Beatles 26.5 million dollars to use the logo

What does apple logo mean?

Your question can be read in two different ways. First, what is the meaning of the term "apple logo". It is the corporate symbol of the Apple computer company. Secondly, what is the symbolic meaning of this logo? An apple is a simple, basic part of human existence, and its choice as both the name and corporate logo suggests the desire to make computers a simple, basic part of life as well (which to a large extent, Apple has succeeded in doing).

What is the source of Apple's logo?

* When Jean Louis Gassée was asked about his thoughts to the Apple logo he answered: "One of the deep mysteries to me is our logo, the symbol of lust and knowledge, bitten into, all crossed with the colors of the rainbow in the wrong order. You couldn't dream of a more appropriate logo: lust, knowledge, hope, and anarchy." (from The Apple Museum, linked below) There is also a great article on the Apple logo at LogoBlog, linked below.
