Following the end of Roberts' term as Governor, Alfred A. Taylor (born August 6, in Carter County, Tennessee; died November 25, 1931 in Johnson City, Tennessee) became the thirty-eighth Governor of Tennessee, serving between January 15, 1921 and January 16, 1923.
