Good question. Was it Bambi's mom or someone in Snow White first?
Snow white was made in 1937 where as Bambi was in 1942. Snow Whites Mother died in the begining of that film just after Snow White was Born.It was snow whites's mum

∙ 6y agoDisney's first film Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs showed the presumed death of Snow White, also the Queen in her beggar woman disguise falls from a cliff & presumably gets crushed by the same boulder she attempted to kill the dwarfs with.
Disney's fifth film Bambi had the death of Bambi's mother, granted they didn't literally show it.
It wasn't until Disney's sixteenth film, Sleeping Beauty, that they showed the on-screen death of a character with the stabbing of Maleficent when she was in her dragon form.
