Freemasonry is a notoriously decentralized outfit. Each Grand Lodge has its own leader called a Grand Master but there are well over a hundred Grand Lodges in the world and no one of those Grand Masters has any authority over any other.

Freemasons are not ruled by kings. They are ruled by Masters who are generally elected for a short term of one or two years.

Mind you a lot of kings have been Freemasons over the years, including Frederick the Great of Prussia, Carl XIII of Sweden and George VI of Great Britain, Queen Elizabeth's father.
