No. The story is an old, old folktale found in many variations in many cultures. There was no real Cinderella.
He is her dog, an old bloodhound.
There are many Cinderella-like stories from many cultures, so there are many settings. The ancient Egyptian story about the girl Rhodopsis is set in Egypt; the Chinese story about the girl Ye Xian is set in China. There is also an Arabian, Japanese and an Italian version. The French author Charles Perrault wrote about a girl called Cinderella in 1697. In all of these stories, the girl's house is set in a place without a name. There are many different setting throughout the Disney movie. A few of the settings are inside the small cottage house with the stepsisters/mother, but the most popular setting is the castle's ballroom, where Cinderella meets the prince.
I think he was like 26. hes 28 now and the movie was made only 2 years ago. she was about 16.
Well, she is 16 in the first one and 17 in the second one. They made her so young because of the fact that the movie was made in the 50s and the movie taking place in a much more distant era where 16 was considered the right age to marry-lucky her!
19 years old

Roald Dahl did not create Cinderella. Cinderella is a fairy tale that originated long before Dahl's time. Dahl was a children's book author who wrote popular stories such as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Matilda."

Actually Cinderella is neither and both because it is based on an old folk tale so it is part of history and yet it has magic in it which makes it a fantasy story. But you couldn't call it history, as it never really happened. Old folks tales were originally oral stories told to pass on lessons, such as learning to recognize that just because a person dresses in rags and lives in the cinders doesn't mean they aren't a princess deep inside.
In real life,Selena Gomez (Mary) was 15 during filming , and Drew Seeley (Joey) was 26. But in the movie, they were both in high school.
In the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, Jack traded his family's cow for the magic beans from a mysterious old man.
