Every member of the band, other than Nick Mason (drums), contributed songs to the Pink Floyd music catalogue, with Roger Waters and David Gilmour writing the most. However, some songs (such as 'Echoes') are attributed to the full band, as they were true collaborations (as opposed to one member writing a song then presenting it to the band).

Mostly Roger Waters, until he and David Gilmour fell out... So then it was Gilmour's turn, but he wasn't really that good!

here is a selection of Pink Floyd songs and who wrote them:

Shine on you crazy diamond - Gilmour /Waters/Wright

Time - mason/waters/Wright/Gilmore

Comfortably numb - Gilmour/Waters

One of these days - Gilmour/Waters /Mason /Wright

Us them - Waters /Wright

learning to fly - Gilmour/Moore/Ezrin/Carin

Wish you were here - Gilmour/Waters

keep talking - Gilmour/Wright/Samson

Money - Waters

no in fact they bought a goat they named Pink Floyd (hence the name of the band) to sing for them or spout wise words as they got high! also the main reason people enjoy getting high on their music is to be able to understand the true message of Pink Floyd.

"Rest in Pieces Pink Floyd... he tasted so good" said David Gilmour while the rest of the band nodded with sadness

The first song writer for the band Pink Floyd was Syd Barrett in 1967. He was replaced in 1968 with Rodger Waters and David Gilmore. Gilmore then released his own album in 1983 without Waters.
