Does Alex Trebek strong arm Jeopardy producers to get questions about Canada on the show?

The Jeopardy archive shows 98 contestants from Canada. Canada figures into the category title once or twice a year and into the final round 31 times. Is it possible to find out if a Philip Bentley was a Jeopardy contestant in the 1970's?

It would not seem very likely to be able to verify whether someone was definely on the show as the complete history would be needed. The J.Archive only has early episode from the Alex Trebek era of Jeopardy. see related link. Very little information is left on the Art Fleming daytime Jeopardy series that first aired between 1964 and 1975. The show was also revived during the 1978-1979 season as The All New Jeopardy which would add to the difficulty in answering the question because we would not even know which show was correct. The first show taped in a New York NBC studio and the second was taped from NBC Studios in Burbank California. Only a small number of the original episodes from 1964 -75 still exist. See related Jeopardy link

Can you provide a complete list of past Jeopardy contestants?

The show has been on for thousands of episodes. More than the over 5000 that Wheel of Fortune has been on and the list would be over 10000 names. Are you sure you would not like the list sorted by how much they won and/or the date they were on. How about how many shows they were on. The information is not available except for many of the shows from the Alex Trebek Jeopardy The Jeopardy Archive will allow you to search for a contestants name and also have the names of the contestants for each episode in the archive. The link to it has been added under related links

Has Jeopardy has run longer than Price is Right?

It's a difficult question to answer because The Price is Right has run longer than the current form of the show Jeopardy hosted by Alex Trebek began on September 10 1984. The show Jeopardy also existed under the same name for 15 years when hosted by Art Fleming starting in 1964 and that would make Jeopardy longer. Links to Wikipedia for both shows have been added along with Wheel of Fortune which is also considered to have been on longer than Jeopardy. The current Wheel of Fortune show started on September 19 1983, a year before the current Jeopardy. The price is right also had an earlier version adding to it's total if included. The Bob Cullen The price is Right show ran for 9 years from 1956 to 1965
