They ran a young cheetah on a greyhound track to answer this very question. The Cheetah had difficulties with the tight corners but more than made up for it on the straights, beating the track record for a greyhound.
It is not yet proven as when they tried to race the two the Cheetah would not chase after the hare
The Cheetah,i think
A cheetah, as it is the fastest of all land animals.
A cheetah, as it is the fastest land animal.
If it was a short race Thoroughbred would have won but the type of Thoroughbred matters.
This is likely a trick question, if they are racing on land, the cheetah will win, and if they are racing in water then the dolphin will win. If this is not a trick question, and you are comparing the linear speed of the average dolphin and cheetah, then the cheetah would likely win in a short race (50m or less), while the dolphin would take the lead after the cheetah stops running at full speed.
In an all-out fight (not race) a bear would win. In a race of speed, obviously the cheetah would win.
the cheetah would win a short distance race but in a long distance race the wolf would dominate, wolves can run full speed for 2o minutes straight at 35mph. cheetahs over heat very quickly after sprinting at 70mph and can sprint for only about 1000 yards
a cheetah, in a race, but in a fight a jaguar would destroy a cheetah. If a cheetah cant winn against a leopard thats smaller than a jaguar, theres no contest.
The cheetah is the fastest land animal and would easily beat a rabbit in a race.
If you mean in a race, a Cheetah would win. in a fight cougar hands down
over a distance of up to 400m to 500m a greyhound would be faster because it hit's full speed within 5m. A horse would be faster over a longer distance.
if they were to race the cheetah would win but if they were to fight the tiger would win
It depends, if it's a short race, you would lose. Cheetah's can run 75 MPH. That's their top speed. A humans top speed is 20 mph, and that was an Olympic runner. I would say you lose. Luckily for you, if the race is about a mile, you have a chance. After running a little less than a mile, a cheetah will overheat and will rest for several minutes.
Cheetah..Gibbons are not that fast on the ground..Humans can outrun them..Humans can outrun any ape on the ground.
Cheetahs are the fastest land animal, so they would win a race against a human.
Cheetahs cant even win against a leopard, which are smaller and weaker than a jaguar, but in a race the cheetah would winn easily.
In a short race the cheetah would win. However, cheetahs do not have much endurance so the dog wins a loner race.
No. A greyhound, which is a fast running dog, can run 45 miles per hour. A cheetah can normally run up to 70 miles per hour and have been clocked at speeds over 100 miles per hour. However, the cheetah soon tires; it can only sustain that speed for a minute or so, before needing a rest. Dogs on the other hand, will literally go until they die, and that could be for days on end.
thats when the greyhound was leading, but then another greyhound caught it
A cheetah. They have been clocked at 120MPH
Geryhound is a sprinter. Husky is a long haul dog. We all know a Greyhound would win up to maybe 5 km. After, it's the Husky's advantage.
