a motor needs fuel, spark, and air to run. Check your plugs, unplugged sensor wires, distributer cap.
Could be a tired fuel pump. GM trucks are not strangers to bad fuel pumps.
I was told it could be bad fuel pump.

YOU CAN'T. A 1500 rim has 6 stud holes. A 2500 rim has 8 stud holes. IT JUST WONT WORK
First thing that comes to mind, fuel pump.
What temp. thermostat did you put in? Try a higher temp. one. or check to see if heater core is clogged
Blown fuse. Or it could be anything from loose wires to bad modules..
