because poachers hunt them for their skin
Tigers are critically endangered species. For decades man has hunted down Tigers for sport and for its skin and body parts. This has reduced the tiger number from sever hundred thousands to a few thousand worldwide. Though there were wide spread in many countries in Asia, they are now present only in isolated pockets of jungles in India, Tibet and Russia.
Poaching is the biggest threat to Tiger populations in India.
Every where except India
if tigers were exticnt preys would take over the world
to not let them go extinct.
they are being hunted for their skin
Bengal Tigers are not extinct although they are classified as an endangered species, with estimates of just over 2,000 left in the wild. In the late 1700 to mid 1800's, estimates were there over 100,000 Bengal tigers, with the vast majority (nearly 90,000) in India and Nepal.
White tigers are not actually extinct, there are 200 left on earth, but most are in zoo's. White tigers are an extremely rare color of the Bengal tiger. None have been seen in the wild for years.
The tigers that aren't extict are: Bengal,Sumatran,Siberian,Indo-Chinese and the Chinese may be extinct it may not.
Probably not very long because there are under 2000 left. :'(
there wouldn't be anymore Siberian tigers
White tigers are not yet extinct. White tigers are also known as snow tigers. But no, they are not yet extinct, even. The white tigers are merely color variations of the Bengal tiger, extremely rare in the wild. They are not a different species from the Bengal, and white cubs can be born at any time in a litter of normal colored cubs. Also, the "snow" tiger is the Siberian tiger, not white Bengals.
350 individualsThere are nine subspecies of tigers, three of which are extinct. The subspecies are Bengal tigers, indochinese tigers, Malayan tiger, Sumatran tiger, Siberian tiger, and the south china tiger.
As white tigers are only a rare color morph of the Bengal tiger, protect that subspecies and there will always be a chance of more white tigers.
