Lewis and Clark are important since they helped find a land path from the Pacific and strengthen America's Western expansion. If it weren't for Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea ( Suh- cawg- uh- way- uh) America wouldn't be like this as it is today.

Lewis and Clark are important because they led the first American overland expedition to the Pacific coast, commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson in 1804. Their journey provided valuable information about the geography, Natural Resources, and Native American tribes of the western United States, laying the groundwork for future exploration and settlement of the region. Their expedition contributed to the expansion of the United States and the establishment of relationships with indigenous peoples.
