Honda is not unionized by the UAW. There have been reports that the UAW has been trying to recruit auto workers from Asian employers like Subaru to join but they turn out uninterested because they are happy with what they have. These websites are pretty informal.http://blogs.automotive.com/6205652/miscellaneous/uaw-and-why-honda-and-toyota-workers-are-not-interested/index.htmlhttp://lawprofessors.typepad.com/laborprof_blog/2007/10/neal-boudette-w.html
There are a number of plants that are UAW approved. Some of the UAW approved plants are 'Local 10, Doraville', 'Local 12 Toledo', 'Local 31 Kansas City' and 'Local 160 Warren'.
Workers at the Honda plant are apart of the United Auto Workers or UAW for short. This is considered to be apart of the US auto union.
United Auto Workers. It is a union whose member are hourly workers in the auto/truck manufacturing plants.
There is no E-mail address for UAW local 435.
This is up to the employer. I personally belonged to the UAW, had insurance and my domestic partner was covered. However, this depends upon what agreement your specific employer has with the UAW local you belong to. Of course, if you mean that you are an employee of the UAW, then that is a different question.
My meaning of UAW is: U Ain't Working But it really stands for United Auto Workers
