because otherwise there is no point of having a library! and its help full for h/w instead of buying one

I don't believe it is up to the various libraries to impose censorship upon its borrowers by banning books due to the controversial nature of the books in question or any other reason. Any adult person should be allowed to make their own choices as to reading matter. With children, banning the reading of certain books is a matter for their parents/legal guardians to make. Libraries should be able to make books available for people to read, otherwise what is the point of having a library in the first place?

Books should not be banned from libraries because they provide access to diverse ideas, perspectives, and knowledge that are essential for a well-rounded education. Banning books limits intellectual freedom and the opportunity for individuals to explore different viewpoints. It is important to promote open dialogue and critical thinking by keeping a wide range of materials available for readers.

I don't understand what you mean by banning books.

Do you mean like banning books because of adult-themed content? If so, the benefit is that children will not read that content and won't become vulgar or sexualized. It also will prevent children from being scared or frightened.

If you mean banning books as in books no longer existing, I think that that is bogus. We need books.
