Enzymes lower the activation energy, an energy barrier required for any reaction to occur, by isolating substrates and applying pressure to cause a conformation, inducing a reaction. Enzymes are generally, but not limited to, organic synthesis through protein translation. Enzymes can be created by your body through DNA transcription --> translation --> chaperone --> protein is able to effectively create bonds and conform to a certain structure (primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary). Without enzymes, your body would not be able to supply enough energy to have necessary reactions take place -- like the hydrolysis of ATP to ADP without ATPase. Also, increasing energy means increasing heat, which could also cause cells or proteins, which are very picky about environmental conditions like salinity temperature and acidity, to lose efficiency or potentially become denatured, that is, lose their structure because of bond interference. This is why they are the catalysts to biological function, and are absolutely essential to life.
A catalyst is something which speed up a chemical reaction without inself being used upin the reaction
because they are catalysts that have an organic chemical structure
because they are biological catalysts or proteins . they help in the process of digestion and increase in the rate of chemical reactions . they can break down or digest complex food
Enzymes are considered biological catalysts because they increase the rate of a chemical reaction.
because they are catalyzing biochemical reactions inside the living things (cell)
it increase rate of reaction
becouse it is a digestive
Enzymes are considered to be catalysts; they increase the rate of a chemical reaction.
but all catalysts aren't enzymes...
Enzymes are natural catalysts, these natural catalysts speed up reactions.
In humans at least, enzymes are called bio-catalysts.
Enzymes are temperature-sensitive, inorganic catalysts are not.

In biology, enzymes are proteins that act as catalysts in the body.

Enzymes are a special kind of bio molecules called proteins that catalyse rate of reactions.
False . Catalysts can be many things ; enzymes and transition elements and their compounds , for example .So Enzymes are always catalysts but Catalysts are NOT always enzymes .
