Fossil fuels are the most prevalent source of energy today because:
* coal is found all over the world and can be mined fairly easily. * oil has been discovered all over the world, it can be pumped out fairly easily, and when burnt it has tremendous power (a cup of gasoline can run a car full of people for a mile at high speed, nothing else comes close to that). * natural gas is similar to the above.
Fossil fuels have hydrocarbons that can produce a lot of energy while wind energy need wind to make electricity and most places don't have a lot of wind.
fossil fuels gives us electrical energy i guess
What energy comes from things besides fossil fuels
There are various types of fossil fuels which are formed from different materials. Some fossil fuels are natural gas, coal, and crude oil.
Non-renewable fossil fuels are: * coal * crude oil (Petroleum) * natural gas
There is some debate as to whether short-term, we can continue to use fossil fuels at the same rate. We are finding new sources of fossil fuels, and these help replace the fossil fuels that we consume. Longer term, the earth's resources are limited and as we consume our fossil fuels, we will not be able to find new fossil fuels to replace them. See attached link on peak oil.
There are several benefits of using fossil fuels as compared to other forms of fuel. Some benefits are that fossil fuels are readily available in large quantity and are easy to process. Other benefits are that fossil fuels produce more energy and are cheaper.

Fossil Fuels are basically the three main things: Coal, Oil, and Natural gas. When these fossil fuels are burned they create pollution and add to the Greenhouse effect.Fossil fuels are also known as Greenhouse gases. The Greenhouse effect is caused by fossil fuels and what happens is basically heat is trapped in our Earths atmosphere causing global warming.

Fossil fuels are simply fuels that are made from fossilized animal or plant matter. These fuels are non- renewable and is a limited resource.
Bury Fossils get Fuels
Coal, petrol etc are examples of fossil fuels. They are exhaustible.
No. Some electricity is made by using fossil fuels. There's a difference.
The fossil fuels will become extinct in some years. There is no future of fossil fuels. That is why there is so much research going on the alternate fuels.
Fossil fuels are considered nonrenewable as they are the product of living things that died in the distant past.
