As the dew point increases, the amount of water vapor in the air will increase. Dew points over 70 usually will indicate humid conditions and possible storms. Dew points in the 50s-60s usually will indicate fair/nice weather. Dew points below 50 will be very dry and pleasent. The dew point and the temperature are plugged into an equation to give you reletive humidity (how humid it is out).

Because dew point tells how much water vapor is present in the air (atmosphere). Dew point is directly related to the amount of water vapor and will increase if there is more water vapor and vice versa. Dew point can provide a direct sense of how comfortable or uncomfortable warm air we can feel. Dew point can also give us a reasonable starting point for estimating low temperatures the following day.

In combination with the dry bulb temperature, it allows one to infer the amount of moisture in the air. In some areas, having the dewpoint temperature above some threshold level for a certain number of days indicated the start of "monsoon season".

I put on my worksheet that dew point is almost the same as water vapor it could also mean that it is rare or something new.
