Why are most watches shown in magazines fixed at the time ten to two or ten past ten?

This is more of a marketing question than it is a math question. The watch advertiser (or any advertiser, for that matter) wishes to invoke a feeling of happiness associated with their product. The hands of a watch at 10:10 or 1:50 appear to form a smile, at least subconsciously.
